Get work done without over-hiring

Fledgling Work helps businesses access capable early-career talent for project-based work, internships and longer development placements, without recruitment fees or long-term commitment. All matches are personally curated to ensure quality, fairness and safeguarding

Our Fledglings are digitally native. If you need someone comfortable with AI tools, social platforms or new technology, early-career talent is often ahead of the curve.

Fair Pay for Fledglings

All projects are clearly scoped with a defined output and a fee agreed upfront. We recommend starting with a starter project that can be completed within a month. This gives you a natural point to assess the work and decide what comes next. Projects range from £200 to £1,000 per month depending on scope and intensity.

We classify projects by intensity:

  • Very light: approximately 3 to 4 hours a week
  • Light: approximately 5 to 8 hours a week
  • Medium: approximately 1 to 2 days a wee
  • Heavy: approximately 3 to 5 days a week

If a starter project goes well, many businesses either define a new project or move to a regular monthly arrangement at an agreed fee. There is no minimum fee for ongoing monthly work.

  • You share a brief and we personally match you with suitable Fledglings.
  • £65 introduction fee plus the agreed project fee for the Fledgling.
  • Projects can be extended without an additional introduction fee
  • Fledglings are paid through Fledgling Work

Embedded Placement

£500

Work experience, internships and development placements.

Learn more
  • Full sourcing, screening and shortlisting. You pay your Fledgling directly. No conversion fee if you hire them permanently. Ever.
    For organisations who want a Fledgling more integrated into their team, we can provide an internship programme.
  • A micro internship, businesses get to try out a Fledgling before deciding if they need a full time hire.
  • Roles are salaried and the Fledgling can paid directly by the business on payroll, or through Fledgling Work depending on the arrangement.
  • If you later decide to hire the person permanently, there are no recruitment fees.

What counts as a match?

One match covers:

  • One clearly defined role or project brief

  • One shortlist and introduction

If the brief changes significantly, this may count as a new match.

This keeps things fair, clear and manageable for everyone.
