Open to students, graduates and early-career talent at any stage, whether they are exploring an industry for the first time or building on experience they already have.

We handle the sourcing and screening so you get someone motivated, prepared and ready to contribute from day one.

Project-based support for a defined period.

Your Fledgling comes in with a clear brief, works to a specific outcome, and leaves having done something real.

It might lead somewhere. It might not. Either way the work gets done and the Fledgling gets genuine experience worth having. Works across any industry and any size of organisation.

The intent from the start is growth, for the Fledgling and for your team. Longer, more substantial, and in most cases a genuine pathway into permanent employment.

Open to anyone at the right stage, degree or no degree. What matters is capability and readiness, not the route they took to get here.

If you want to bring someone on permanently, there is no conversion fee. Ever. Most recruiters would charge thousands at that point. We don't.

Mentoring included. Three sessions over three months for every Fledgling. Industry-led, practical and careers-focused.

Flexible by design.

Fledgling Work works for businesses of all sizes, across any industry. Whether you're a small independent or a large organisation with an established early careers programme, we shape something that fits.

The minimum placement length is one month, which can be part time. There is no maximum. You can bring in a Fledgling for a focused short-term piece of work or build something longer that grows over time.

Short-term support A month or two of focused help during a busy period, for a specific project, or to cover a gap.

Ongoing embedded support.A few months where someone gets properly embedded. They learn how you work. You see what they are capable of.

Development placement. A longer commitment with a genuine pathway. Often the beginning of something permanent.

Our commitment to fair pay.

Every Fledgling placement is paid. We require all employers to meet at least National Minimum Wage, and we actively encourage London Living Wage where businesses are able to.

Beyond pay, we ask every employer to commit to the full picture of what they are offering. That means structured experience, a genuine reference, mentoring time from someone in your team, and treating your Fledgling as a real member of the team for the duration of their placement

You pay your Fledgling directly, on a fixed-term contract or through your own payroll. We handle everything up to that point.

We are serious about this.

Fledgling Work exists because access to early-career experience is still shaped by who you know and whether you can afford to work for free. We are trying to change that, intentionally and measurably.

We ask every Fledgling about their background when they join us. The school they attended, their parents' or guardians' careers, whether they were the first in their family to go to university, and whether they received free school meals. That data shapes how we recruit, who we prioritise, and the impact we can report back to you.

Social mobility candidates are always represented on our shortlists. We never label individual candidates, everyone is assessed on what they can do. But we track and report the social mobility composition of our shortlists in aggregate over time, so you can see the real difference working with us makes.

If your organisation has social mobility or DEI commitments, we can give you the data to evidence them.

That covers everything.

Sourcing, interviewing, task-setting, shortlisting and matching you with the right person. You pay your Fledgling directly at an agreed rate on top of that.

If you want to bring someone on permanently, there is no conversion fee. Ever. Most recruiters would charge thousands at that point. We don't.
